Protests today in European cities in support of refugees (SP)

In cities across Europe, thousands of protesters are holding rallies to show support for migrants and opposition to the deal between the European Union and Turkey to stem the influx of refugees into Europe. Cities where demonstrations are occurring include London, Athens, Amsterdam, Vienna, Barcelona, Geneva, Zurich, and Lucerne.

To minimize safety risk, always avoid areas of large public gatherings or protests. Leave an area if tension begins to develop between groups. Even peaceful situations can quickly and unexpectedly escalate into violent confrontations.
