Protests Turn Violent in Beirut, Lebanon

Anti-government protesters and police clashed in Beirut on Saturday. Demonstrators threw rocks at police, and police responded with tear gas and rubber bullets. Protests over the economy began in October and have been mainly peaceful. Saturday’s protest was some of the worst violence since the protests began.
