Record rains cause severe flooding in Serbia and Bosnia

Unprecedented torrential rains have caused a major emergency in Bosnia and Serbia. States of emergency have been declared in parts of these countries after the heaviest rainfall and worst flooding since records began 120 years ago. At least five people have drowned.

Travellers should avoid the affected areas, since essential services, including transportation, may be severely disrupted.
