Religious processions in Bahrain, November 17-18, 2017

On November 17 and 18, there will be the commemoration of the death of Prophet Muhammad. Religious processions are expected in central Manama and other locations across the country.

Advice

Although these events are expected to be peaceful, anti-government protesters could use the occasion to demonstrate, and thus create the potential for clashes with security personnel. Minimize safety risk by avoiding areas of processions, crowded areas, and any large political or religious gathering.
