Ross River Virus infections increase dramatically in Victoria, Australia - update

In what is the worst outbreak of Ross River Fever in the past decade, in Victoria, 654 infected people were diagnosed last month. This number is more than 20 times higher than the last outbreak of this infection in 2011. One of the most affected municipalities includes Campaspe Shire. Health authorities are advising the population to take precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
