Salmonella contaminated smoked salmon from Netherlands sickens hundreds

Approximately 200 people in the Netherlands and 100 in the United States have been sickened by consuming salmonella contaminated smoked salmon produced by the Dutch company Foppen, which sells fish to many major Dutch supermarkets and to stores around the world. A major recall of this product is underway, but travellers who may have purchased this product should discard it and avoid consuming it.
