Salmonella outbreak in several Washington counties, USA

An outbreak of salmonella bacteria infections has been reported involving 56 people in Washington State. Five people were hospitalized. The infected people are residents of several counties, including King, Snohomish, Mason, Thurston, Pierce, Grays Harbor, Yakima, and Clark. Consumption of undercooked roasted pork served at private events is suspected to be the cause. Further investigation is underway.
