Health Authorities in Hunter New England, New South Wales, are investigating two large outbreaks of Salmonella/Salmonellosis infection after 7 cases were detected. The exact source of the salmonella contamination is being investigated.

Although the risk of infection is probably low, travellers to this region should be aware of the risks of exposure to contaminated food or water.
