Salmonellosis (food poisoning) cause 7 illnesses from contaminated egg whites in UK

Seven cases of salmonellosis have been identified and traced to consumption of a pasteurised liquid egg product sold by Myprotein and Nutri Centre websites and Nutri Centre stores. The product was recalled on October 10th. An investigation is underway to determine how the egg white product became contaminated. Even when pasteurised, egg whites continue to pose some risk for salmonella contamination. Travellers who may have purchased this product should discard it. If symptoms of gastroenteritis develop, travellers may wih to check with their health care provider.
