Sectarian violence related to Syrian civil war erupts again in Tripoli, Lebanon

Renewed confrontations between Sunni and Allawite factions supporting opposite sides in the Syrian civil war have resulted in at least 4 deaths and at least 60 injured persons in the Bab el-Tebbaneh and Jabal Mohsen districts. Grenades and heavy gunfire were heard throughout the town, with snipers positioned in civilian apartment blocks. Several countries advise their citizens to avoid all travel to Tripoli and to reconsider travelling to Lebanon at this time.
