Security concerns in central Iraq

Several violent episodes erupted in central Iraq. Eleven people were killed in a string of bombings and shootings. A bomb in a Shia neighborhood in Baghdad killed 4 people and wounded 29 others. In Imam Waiss village in the province of Diyala, a Sunni imam and his family were killed by gunmen. In the town of Buhruz, gunmen wearing police uniforms killed four brothers in their home. These violent episodes underline security concerns in this area.
