Security incident near Louvre in Paris

Earlier today soldiers shot and injured a man who was trying to enter the Louvre museum, wielding a machete and shouting “Allahu Akbar”. A second person has been detained for suspicious behaviour.

With respect to personal safety, always be alert and aware of your surroundings. Because of terrorist attacks in France and ongoing threats against the country by Islamist terrorist groups, there is a state of emergency in place in France until July 15, 2017.
