Security warning for Turkey prior to June elections

The Turkish government has warned of the possible increased risk of attacks in the time frame leading up to elections on June 7, 2015.

Turkey is generally stable, but there are sporadic terrorist incidents. Sitata reminds travellers to minimize risk by remaining cautious and aware of your surroundings. If possible, avoid areas that could be targeted, such as crowded market areas, religious sites, government buildings, etc. Be aware of exit routes through crowds, and avoid the middle of large crowds. Be ready to react very quickly to any sign of an emergency.
