Serious flooding in Le Marche Province in Italy

Floods in central Italy are causing devastation across theLe Marche province, particularly in Senigallia where cars have been floatingsince entire streets flooded and in Capena near Rome where a huge mudslide lefta large crater.

Authorities have asked people to remain at their home or lodgingand to move to upper floors if necessary. Travellers should be aware that morerain is forecast for the region in the next few days, and the heaviest rainfallis expected to move southwards across the southern areas of Le Marche provinceand the Abruzzo province. Traffic and other services could be disrupted.
