Severe flooding in South Africa

Days of heavy rain have caused severe flooding in parts of South Africa. The most affected areas include Witbank and Lydenburg in the northeastern parts of the country where 1 death has been recorded.

The floods have submerged the main highway into Johannesburg after the Mbembesi River burst its banks.
