Severe Storm Damage in Tonga after Intense Tropical Cyclone GITA

Tonga has sustained severe damage following tropical storm GITA on 12 Feb 2018. The Parliament building was destroyed with extensive damage to buildings and other infrastructure. The Tongan government has declared a state of emergency. The airport is closed and phone lines are working intermittently.
