Severe Weather - El Salvador

Heavy rainfall triggered severe floods and landslides killing at least four people in El Salvador from 13-14 October. About 250 people had to be evacuated in Ilopango Municipality (San Salvador department).

Avoid the affected areas since essential services, including transportation, may be disrupted. Check with local authorities before travelling. Rains have left soil saturated. Additional rain may trigger further landslides and floods.
