Solitary case of yellow fever reported in tropical area of Cochabamba, Bolivia

A single fatal case of yellow fever has been reported from the tropical area of Cochabamba Department. This infection was probably acquired as a result of exposure to infected mosquitoes in forested or jungle areas. In order to prevent any spread of this serious disease in the local population, vaccination against yellow fever is recommended for the local population or for any traveller to this area.
