Some traffic disruption and closures during major holidays in Vietnam

Vietnam will celebrate holidays of Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary on April 28; Reunification Day on April 30; and Labor Day on May 1. Local office workers will have a six-day public holiday lasting from April 28 to May 3. Some embassies and consulates will be closed at times during the holiday period.

On April 30, a military parade will be held to mark Reunification Day at the Reunification Palace. Rehearsals will occur per the schedule below prior to the holiday. Disruption to traffic and restricted access will occur in the areas of Le Duan Street, Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm, Nguyễn Hữu Cảnh, Lê Thánh Tôn, Phạm Hồng Thái, Cách Mạng Tháng Tám, Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai and Nguyễn Bỉnh.
These streets will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians at the following times:

April 22: from 7am to 11am; April 24: from 6pm to midnight; April 26: from 4am to 11am; April 30; from 4am to 12 noon.

These closures also restrict access to several tourist sites.
