Sporadic cases and outbreaks of measles are being reported by the following countries and localities:

• USA - (Minnesota, Ohio, Utah)
• Guinea - only 37 percent of children in Guinea are vaccinated against measles
• Somalia - 1,350 suspected cases of measles in March and April, especially in Bari, Nugaal, Mudug, Banadir and Lower Juba
• China - 35,677 measles cases during the 1st 5 months of this year
• Taiwan
• Australia - (Queensland imported from Papua New Guinea)
• New Zealand - (North Island, Waikato District)
