Sporadic cases of Polio continue to be found in Nigeria

So far this year, Nigeria has reported a total of 45 cases of polio. The most affected areas are in the north and include: Jigawa; Kaduna; Kano; Katsina; Sokoto; Zamfara; Borno; Yobe and Bauchi.

Travellers in any country that reports cases of polio can reduce their risk of exposure to polio virus by ensuring that their childhood vaccinations, including polio, are up-to-date prior to travelling.
