Suicide bombing leaves 12 dead in Pakistan

At least 12 people were killed and 50 injured when a suicide bomber attacked and caused two explosions in a judicial building in the town of Mardan, northwest of Peshawar City. Also today, four suicide bombers attacked a Christian neighbourhood near Peshawar. A Taliban faction claimed responsibility for both attacks.

Advice For Travellers

Many countries advise travellers to avoid the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province where both attacks occurred. Suicide bombings, shootings, and the use of improvised explosive devices are a risk in the province. A number of civilian deaths and injuries have occurred in these areas.
