Ten people injured in more sectarian clashes in Cairo.

Religious violence continues in Cairo as Egyptian Copts protesting in front of the state TV building in Cairo clashed with youths from the area of Boulaq abu el-ea. Molotov cocktails were used and at least 10 people have been injured. Police and army personnel used tear gas and shot into the air in an attempt to maintain order.

Interfaith tensions have been rising in Egypt between Muslims and Christians, and 12 people have been killed and more than 200 injured in recent weeks.

Travellers to Egypt should be aware of the political and religious tensions in the country and exercise caution, particularly by avoiding public gatherings, demonstrations, and religious processions.
