Terrorists attack major hotel in Mogadishu, Somalia

A car loaded with explosives was driven into the main gate of the Jazeera Palace Hotel in Mogadishu. A second car parked nearby was detonated when emergency personnel arrived. At least 1 person was killed and 11 injured. The al Qaeda-linked Shebab terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack while stating that no foreigners would be safe in Somalia. Several countries advise their citizens to avoid all travel to this country at this time.
