Torrential rains bring flooding and deaths to Karachi, Pakistan

Unusually heavy rainfall caused severe flooding in parts of Karachi. At least 10 people were killed by electrocution or collapsing walls. Approximately 45 percent of the city was without electricity. The lack of electricity affected the pumping stations, disrupting the water supply to the city.
