Tropical storm ISAAC heads for Cuba

After dumping heavy rains with high winds on Haiti, tropical storm ISAAC is heading for Cuba. It has not reached hurricane strength yet, although it is expected to strengthen. Warnings have been posted for Cuba, Turks and Caicos, the Bahamas and Florida in the USA.

Travellers in this region of the Caribbean should monitor local weather reports closely and take shelter when necessary.
