Typhoon Man-yi projected to hit central Japan

Typhoon Man-yi is headed toward central Japan today and expected to bring heavy rain, wind, and flooding. The typhoon is projected to make a direct hit in Shizuoka Prefecture on Monday morning and then head northeast toward the capital and surrounding areas. In the 24 hour period from Sunday to Monday evening, the areas of Kanto, Tokai, Kinki, Tohoku, Hokuriku, and Shikoku are expected to receive heavy rainfall.
