Ugandan landslide sweeps through villages in Bududa District

Thousands tonnes of earth became a river of mud that ran down a hillside for approximately half a kilometre mile,engulfing the villages of Bunakasala and Bunamulembwa. Approximately 4,000 people have been evacuated. The number of deaths is not known at this time.

Travellers in this area should exercise caution since essential services, including transportation, may be severely disrupted.
