US embassy closed in Ankara, Turkey, after shots fired

The US embassy in Ankara and other consulates in Turkey were closed for normal operations on Tuesday after an individual used a shotgun to fire into the air in front of the embassy building in the capital. Security guards intervened before anyone was injured.
