Violence continues in Burundi

At least four people were killed in Burundi today in continuing clashes between police and protesters who are demonstrating against the incumbent president's bid for a third term. Violence took place in the capital, Bujumbura, and in Gisozi, a rural area about 50 kilometers away.

The president has announced that he will not seek another term in office, but tensions remain high. Seventeen people have been killed in almost daily protests.
