Violent demonstrations to protest against new constitution referendum in Cairo, Egypt

As expected, Egyptian police used tear gas and other measures to stop thousands of protesters outside the president’s palace in Cairo. Opposition parties are against the planned referendum on a new constitution that they feel is non-inclusive of non-Muslim groups.
