Weekend protests in Cologne and Berlin, Germany

There has been a call for a protest in Berlin’s Washington Square from 15:00 Saturday against the open door asylum policy for refugees. Crowds of around 5,000 people are expected to gather, as well as counter-demonstrations by anti-fascist groups.

In Cologne, five demonstrations have been planned for Deutz Wharf on Sunday, July 31, from 15:00 in support of the Turkish government.
