Advice For Travellers

Reported cases of West Nile Fever infections are expected to increase, but the risk for the general traveller remains very low at this time. Nevertheless, many states and counties have reported isolation of the virus from infected mosquitoes. Since there is no vaccine or treatment for West Nile fever, travellers to areas where this virus has been found can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
