Human cases of West Nile Fever have been reported in Mississippi ( 2 cases in Lauderdale and Hancock counties) and Oklahoma (1 case in Tulsa County).

The virus that causes West Nile Fever has been found in infected mosquitoes in Idaho (Canyon County) and Delaware (Newark area).

Travellers to areas where the West Nile Fever virus has been found can reduce their risk of exposure to this virus by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
