In the past 4 weeks, West Nile Fever virus has spread in Serbia, Kosovo and Croatia. At least 4 people have died from their infections while dozens more have been infected and hospitalised. Since there is no vaccine or treatment for infections with West Nile fever virus, travellers to areas where the West Nile Fever virus has been found can reduce their risk of exposure to this virus by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
