Whooping cough (pertussis) is concern for health officials in Butte-Silver Bow, Montana, USA

Health officials in the Butte-Silver Bow Health Department are concerned about a possible surge in whooping cough (pertussis) when children retrun to school. Since the end of the school year earlier this summer, there have been 23 confirmed cases of this infection. Vaccination clinics are being scheduled to avoid an outbreak.
