Wild fires in California, USA, destroy homes and cause evacuations

Two forest fires, one in Amador and El Dorado counties, and the other in a small community outside Yosemite National Park, have destroyed muliple homes and caused the evacuation of hundreds of people. The first fire continues to threaten hundreds of homes east of Sacramento.

Travellers should avoid travelling near the affected areas since the fires are not yet under control.
