Wild fires in Spain kill 4

High winds fanned two big forest fires raging in the border area between France and northern Catalonia in Spain. Four persons have been killed. The fires are affecting Spain's Costa Brava, one of the most popular beach destinations. The fires are also cutting off major transportation routes used by tourists driving across the border to France.

Travellers should exercise caution and avoid travel in the affected area since transportation routes and essential services may be affected.
