World Health Organization identifies three Ashanti Districts in Ghana as high risk for yellow fever

The World Health Organization has identified three districts in the Ashanti Region, i.e., the Atwima Mponua and Adansi South Districts and the Kumasi Metropolis. Health authorities have stated that there is a strong possibility of an outbreak of yellow fever occurring in this area.

Travellers to Ghana are reminded that proof of a yellow fever vaccination is required upon arrival for all travelers equal to or greater than 9 months of age. Vaccination should be obtained 10 days before travelling.
