Worrisome malaria outbreak in Mandla District, Madhya Pradesh, India

The Madhya Pradesh health department has reported an outbreak of malaria in the tribal district of Mandla. So far, approximately 2,000 cases have been reported, with 314 of these registered in the month of October. Almost 80 percent of these infections are due to the more virulent strain of malaria called falciparum.
