Yellow fever in Kenya

Health authorities have detected 9 cases of yellow fever in Baringo and Elgeyo-Marakwet counties. Since the beginning of 2011, 6 people have died, the latest being one week ago.

Travellers to these areas should be aware of the risk of exposure to yellow fever and ensure that they have received a yellow fever vaccination at least ten days before travelling in these areas. Travellers should take all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
