Yellow fever in Peru's Amazon Basin

Travellers are reminded that there is a risk of exposure to yellow fever in the Amazon Basin in Peru. In 2013, there were 31 reported cases with 8 deaths. All people living or visiting in this region are at risk of yellow fever virus infection transmitted from non-human primates to humans by forest mosquitoes. Yellow fever vaccination is recommended.
