Yellow fever outbreak in Sandia Puno forest kills 3 and sickens 5

Health authorities have reported an outbreak of yellow fever among residents of the Sandia Puno rain forest.

Travellers to this area can reduce their risk of exposure to yellow fever by obtaining a yellow fever vaccination before travelling. If unvaccinated, all travellers should be extremely cautious and take all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites.
