Malaria Outbreak in Nepal

At least 16 people in the village of Righa were found to be infected with malaria. An official team has been sent to control the spread of this disease.

All travellers to any region where malaria transmission is occurring can reduce their risk of exposure by taking all necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites. Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
