May 1 rallies and demonstrations across Russia
The Russian government will permit some demonstrations and rallies in Moscow and other cities in Russia on May 1, 2015. The US Department of State listed the details of some rallies and the organizers, which are listed below. Other rallies could take place over the weekend of May 2-3. Foreigners should carry identification to show if requested by legitimate authorities.
Moscow Events
The Moscow Federation of Trade Unions/Profsoyuzy: Up to 120,000 participants; Time: 10:00-12:00; Route: Route: Vasilievskiy Spusk-Red Square-Nikolskaya-Manezhnaya-Tverskaya Streets
Spravedlivaya Rossiya: Time: 11:00-12:00; Up to 3,000 participants; Route: Tsvetnoy Bulv.-Trubnaya Square-Petrovskiy Bulv.–Strastnot Bulv-Bolshoy Putinkovskiy per-Tverskaya Street and Malaya Dmitrovka Street

“Democratic St. Petersburg”: Time: 11:00-14:00; Route: Begins at Oktyabr’skiy Concert Hall and a planned march to Konuishennaya Square.
RPR-Parnas: Time: 11:00-14:00; Route: Begins at Oktyabr’skiy Concert Hall and a planned march to Konuishennaya Square.
Affiliated Labor Unions: Time: 10:30-15:00; Route: Begins at Mayakovskaya Metro Station and will include a planned march to Palace square.
KPRF, ROT-Front, Green Block: Time: 10:00-12:00; Route: Begins at Ploshad Vosstaniya and include a march to St. Issac’s square.
Just Russia: Time: 10:30-15:00; Route: Will gather at Ploshad Vosstaniya and will march down Nevskiy Prospect.
Young Guards: Time: 10:00-15:00; Route: Will gather at Ploshad Vosstaniya and will march down Nevskiy Prospect.
Vladivostok Events
Mayor’s Office: Route: Radiopribor Factory to the city center, marching over the Golden Horn Bridge; Main Stage of Activities at Central Square (events expected all day); Up to 20,000 people
