Heightened Security, Abduction in Bannu - Pakistan

On 10 January, heightened security measures are in place across Lakki Marwat. This follows the abduction of at least 17 civilian workers by suspected Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants from the Kabal Khel area. Search operations are ongoing with eight individuals rescued so far. The area has been cordoned off, and related disruptions are likely.
