Nationwide Farmers Protest - India
From 7-16 February, several farmers’ unions from Punjab, Haryana and UP will stage the following protests against the central government’s inaction concerning long-pending measures, including a law on assured Minimum Support Price:

On 7-8 February: Farmers will hold a large public gathering in Noida and launch a protest march to the Parliament in Delhi. A traffic advisory was issued across Gautam Buddh Nagar. Section 144, prohibiting gathering of 5 or more people, has also been imposed. Traffic restrictions have also been announced.

On 13 February: Farmers from Punjab will enter Haryana from Shambhu, Khanauri and Dabwali borders and launch a protest rally to Delhi. The farmers will demonstrate at Jantar Mantar.

On 16 February: Over 70,000-80,000 farmers will launch a nationwide shutdown.
There is a risk of violent clashes between the demonstrators and local police forces.
