Severe Flooding Prompted Evacuations - Poland, Czechia, Austria

On 14 September, severe flooding was reported across Poland, the Czech Republic, and in parts of Austria. In Poland, a dam in Międzygórze had overflowed and prompted emergency evacuations from low-lying villages. In Austria, 42 municipalities were declared as disaster zones as flood levels continue to rise, especially in areas along the rivers Kamp and Kremps. The heavy rainfall forecast is expected to remain in the affected regions of the central European nations. The weather conditions could further worsen the situation, over the coming days.
