Foreigners Allowed Entry into North Korea
On 26 September, according to Chinese and South Korean state-run media reports, North Korea has allowed the entry of foreigners into the country effective 25 September. Pyongyang has lifted its strict COVID-19 border control measures which remained in effect since early 2020. Travelers entering the country will be required to quarantine for two days, per China Central Television. However, travel Agencies in China are yet to receive a formal notification regarding permission for foreigners to enter North Korea.
North Korea’s state-run carrier Air Koryo resumed international passenger flight operations between Pyongyang and Beijing on 22 August.
