Armed Clashes in Syria

On 14 July, at least 30 people were killed and 100 others injured as sectarian clashes erupted between Druze and Bedouin groups in Sweida. The violence followed a series of abductions, including that of a Druze merchant on the Damascus–Sweida Highway. Israel reportedly struck tanks in a nearby town to protect Druze. Further clashes are possible.
